Calhoun to conduct summer youth robotics camp
Calhoun Community College will conduct a one-week robotics camp this summer for middle and high school students.
The camp is scheduled for the week of July 22-26 and will be held in the Visualization Technology Computer Lab and the Aerospace Technology Center at the Decatur campus. Sessions will be held between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The cost of the camp is $400 per student, which includes lunch, snacks and all study and project materials, tools, computer access and the Lego Mindstorm kits. To register for the camp, or for more information, call Dr. Sue Mitchell at 256-306-2655 or by e-mail at sue@calhoun.edu.
Area residents named to Samford dean's list
Brock Allen Eson and Jessica Marie Smith of Harvest have been named to the dean's list at Samford University for the spring semester. Kylie Jill Jordan, James Edgar Radford Jr., Rachael Delane Tew and Alisa Michelle Worley of Madison have also been named to the dean's list.
To qualify, a student must have earned a minimum of 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.
