Botanical Garden Briefs

The Huntsville Botanical Garden, in its "Concert at the Columns" production, welcomes The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The original members of the band have come together for the first time in more than 15 years for its reunion tour in 2002 to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the legendary Will the Circle be Unbroken landmark album.
Tickets are now on sale and available at the Garden Gift Shop and at all First Commercial Bank locations. The cost is $25 for advance tickets for garden members; $28 for non-members; $27 for garden members on the day of the show or $30 for non-members. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Seating is general admission and concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Picnics and coolers will be permitted.
The concert will be held rain or shine. Tickets may also be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-277-1700 or at all Publix stores.
