Hamblin receives Webster scholarship
Rachel Hamblin, of Madison has been selected as a recipient of a Webster University Academic Scholarship for the 2002-2003 school year. The scholarship was provided by the university endowment fund to provide financial assistance to full or part-time students who have a 3.5 or better grade point average. Webster University is a nonprofit, liberal arts university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs. It is based in St. Louis, Mo.
Ward receives achievement award
The Savannah College of Art and Design has announced that Benjamin Eli Ward of Madison has received an outstanding achievement award in foundation studies at the college's 2002 awards ceremony. Ward was selected by the faculty and staff to receive this award, which recognizes the accomplishments in the area of foundation studies. He is a sophomore illustration student and the son of Charles and Janis Ward.
Triolo inducted into National Society of Collegiate Scholars
Leslie Michelle Triolo of Madison accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and will be honored during a campus ceremony this fall at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. NSCS is a highly selective, national, non-profit honors organization recognizing first and second year undergraduate students who excel academically. She was a 2001 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
