Holiday activities planned for Madison

The Madison Chamber of Commerce has planned several holiday events and is encouraging Madison residents to mark their calendars now to attend.
To get the holidays in motion, the chamber will host its annual Holidays in Madison Gala/Dinner and Dance from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, Dec. 6. The event will include a Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline impersonator and Disco music. Tickets are now on sale for $50 per ticket at the Madison Chamber of Commerce. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped child toy that will go to the Madison Head Start program.
The event will be held at the Clay House Museum on Main Street in downtown Madison.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, Madison businesses will open their doors to the holiday season.
During this time, Madison residents will be able to visit area businesses to get a head start on holiday shopping.
From 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, The Madison Station Preservation Historical Society will present its annual Historic Tour of Homes in downtown Madison. The event will include carriage rides, carolers, hand bells and a number of homes in the historic district that will be opened to the public to tour. Dessert will be served at Main Street Caf.
The chamber will celebrate its 10-year anniversary at its monthly Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Holiday Inn on Madison Boulevard.
