Holiday events planned for Madison

The Madison Chamber of Commerce has planned several holiday events and is encouraging Madison residents to mark their calendars now to attend.
To get the holidays in motion, the Madison Chamber of Commerce and The Orthopedic Center invites the community to join them for an evening of hors d'oeuvres, open bar and entertainment featuring Dave McConnel as Frank Sinatra benefiting the Madison Greenways and Trails and the Madison Japanese Garden. The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Clift's Cove Clubhouse on Hughes Road. The cost is $15 per person. Bring a new, unwrapped toy.
Here is a list of other events planned by the Madison Chamber of Commerce during the holidays.
* From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, Madison businesses will open their doors to the holiday season.
During this time, Madison residents will be able to visit area businesses to get a head start on holiday shopping.
* From 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, The Madison Station Preservation Historical Society will present its annual Historic Tour of Homes in downtown Madison. The event will include carriage rides, carolers, hand bells and a number of homes in the historic district that will be opened to the public to tour. Dessert will be served at Main Street Caf.
* The chamber will celebrate its 10-year anniversary at its monthly Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Holiday Inn on Madison Boulevard.
