UAB recognizes Madison County residents
The following Madison County residents received bachelor's or graduate degrees, certificates and named to the honors and dean's list during the fall 2002 quarter at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Receiving a master's degree is Kathryn Deas. Receiving a bachelor's degree is Ronald Jones. Those named to the honors list include Elizabeth Brazelton, Jonathan Cayce, Antwanette Jones, Ronald Jones, Kiran Patel, Laura Skridulis, Leslie Triolo and Andrew Yourich. Those named to the dean's list include Annie Artiga and Jonathan Miller.
Madison resident volunteers at Saint Leo University
Matthew Mitchell of Madison recently served as a volunteer at Saint Leo University's annual Community Service Day. Mitchell was among the 225 students who provided maintenance and repairs to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saint Joseph, Fla. and at Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City, Fla.
BJHS grad gets UAB degree
Wesley Jones, a 1998 graduate of Bob Jones High School, has received a bachelor of science degree in nuclear medicine technology from The University of Alabama in Birmingham. He was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity serving as its president during his senior year. He plans to attend graduate school to become a medical physicist.
