Local residents inducted into Order of Gownsmen at Sewanee
The following local residents were recently inducted into the Order of Gownsmen at The University of the South's opening convocation for the 2003 Easter semester. Julie Ann Blair of Madison became a member of the honorary student organization, founded in 1873 to recognize Sewanee's ties with the English universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Local student makes dean's list at Georgia Tech
Michelle Jean Siverd of Madison has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester 2002 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Undergraduate students earning a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester gain the distinction.
Oklahoma Baptist University names honor roll students
Allison Marie Potter of Madison has been named to the dean's honor roll at Oklahoma Baptist University for the 2002 fall semester. Potter is majoring in public relations. OBU is a liberal arts college in Shawnee, Okla.
Madison woman named to SMSU dean's list
Carolyn Behnen of Madison has been named to the dean's list at Southeast Missouri State University for the fall 2002 semester. Students named to the list earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and completed at least 12 degree credit hours during the fall session.
