Summer Teen Volunteers Needed The library is now accepting applications for Summer Teen Volunteers. Any interested students who have completed 6th grade and will be 12 years old by June 1 are eligible. Completed forms and teacher recommendations must be received by May 10. Volunteers assist two-four hours per week in the Youth Services area with Summer Reading Program activities, story times, book shelving, and teen programs. May 20 Rocket City Writer's Group at 6:15 p.m. Serious writers of all genres are invited for an evening of writing practice, readings, critiques, and fellowship with others in the writing community. A monthly supplement to the RCWG at Barnes &Noble, this group is for writers ready for the next dedication level. A $5 fee is required for materials, refreshments, and guest speakers. DVD's have arrived We have begun circulating DVDs at the Madison Library and the larger branches. The DVDs we buy will be the currently popular movie titles. To help us build a collection, we will also gladly accept donations of new or used DVDs. DVD Policy:
– Loan Period: 1 week, no renewals – Borrowing Limit: 1 per card – Overdue Fine: $1/day – $15 maximum per DVD; $1.00 if returned in bookdrop – No holds can be placed on DVD's
Teens Movie Madness, Tuesdays at 6- 7:45 p.m. Join us for our monthly movie night at the library. Adventure is in the air in tonight's feature presentation, "I Spy" starring Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson. Soda and popcorn will be served. PG-13.

Artists Interested in displaying your artwork? The Madison Library is looking for creative, energetic work from art students ages 14-20. Must be framed and ready to display.

Story time theme May 6 – 8 Under the Sea The weather's getting warm and this week we're going to the shore! "Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister and "How Will We Get to the Beach?" Are just two books we'll read.
STORYTIME BREAK May 13 – 29 The Madison Library will be taking a programming break May 11 n 31 in order to prepare for our annual Summer Reading Program. There will be no story times or events during this time. We will resume programs by June 1.
May 27 Summer Reading Registration Begins It's finally here! Registration for Madison's Summer Reading Program begins today and participation is through July 31. Pick up your summer reading log and some great books today n earn prizes for the hours you read! Children of all ages can participate in the log (even babies) and attend our great Summer of Flight events!
