Makowski graduates from West Point Renee Makowski of Madison recently graduated from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point as an Army 2nd Lieutenant with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry/life sciences.
She is the daughter of Betty and Rick Makowski of Madison and a graduate of Bob Jones High School. Makowski was cadet company commander this year and graduated in the top five percent of her class. She was selected for the Medical School Program and won the Mason Award as the highest standing cadet attending medical school. She will be attending Vanderbilt University. She is a second generation Makowski to attend the Academy. Her father graduated from West Point in 1978. Makowski's sister Jennifer is starting her second year at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy at New London, Conn.
Harris, McPhail complete OSUT Army National Guard Pfc. Christopher R. Harris and Pfc. Timothy L. McPhail have graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consisted of basic military training and advanced individual training (AIT).
Harris is the son of Teresa and Robert D. Harris of Madison and is a 2002 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
McPhail is the son of Susan and Rickey McPhail of Madison and a 2001 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
Blankenship finishes basic training U.S. Air Force Airman Justin P. Blankenship recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Tex. He is the son of Suzanne Sloan of Madison and Barry Blankenship of Toney. Blankenship is a 2000 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
