Madison residents part of aerospace conference

A pair of Madison residents are among three Calhoun Community College students selected to represent the college as this year’s National Community College Aerospace Scholars at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Tex. Adam Dziubanek and Desiree Dziubanek of Madison will travel to Houston May 20-22, 2010, to participate in this program.
National Community College Aerospace Scho-lars (NCAS) is a pilot program funded by NASA’s Exploration Systems Mission Direct-orate (ESMD) and administered by NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). Selected community college students from across the nation who are interested in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics will travel to NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) for a 3-day experience. According to De-borah.Hutchings, Aero-space Scholars program director, over 370 applications were received; the three Calhoun students were among the 82 students selected to participate this year.
