Beverly Ratliff; Aug. 25, 2010

Beverly H. Ratliff, 66, of Madison passed away Aug. 25 from a heart attack.

Mrs. Ratliff was born in Granite City, Ill., and preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and her parents, Nicholas and Kathleen Jakich. Beverly was a contracting officer for the Department of Defense.

She is survived by a daughter, Kellie Brooks and her husband Bob of Madison; sons, Edward Ratliff II of Madison, Mark Ratliff and his wife Courtney of Huntsville; sister, Sandra Jakich of Alton, Ill.; brother, Nicholas Jakich Jr. of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Zak, Tyler, Caitlyn and Lauren Ratliff, and Aeriell, Elizabeth and Emma Brooks.

Visitation was from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 28, at Cornerstone Word of Life, with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. Beverly was taken to Irwin Chapel in Granite City, Ill., for services and burial. Online condolences may be made at madisonchapelfuneralhome.com.
