Gardeners to demo landscape design

HUNTSVILLE – An upcoming workshop by Master Gardeners of North Alabama will explain the steps to design a landscape like a professional.

Denise Woodring will present the hands-on “Landscape Design Seminar” at the Alabama A&M Agribition Center, 4925 Moores Mill Road in Huntsville. The workshop on July 15 will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Woodring owns Green Thumb Gardening Consultant & Design. Certified and licensed by the state of Alabama, Denise is a graduate of the Virginia Master Gardener program. Woodring specializes in sustainable gardening practices, which she incorporates into her designs and consultations.

The $45 course fee includes all materials, a boxed lunch and snacks. Participants will receive a design template and color wheel to keep. Class topics will include conducting a site analysis, uses of plants in design and a guided drawing session.
