Huntsville-based homebuilder announces new regional president and marketing director
HUNTSVILLE — Davidson Homes, a rapidly growing regional home builder based in Huntsville, announced in December the hiring of Greg Duriez as regional president and Lindsey Tapscott as director of marketing.
The hirings of Duriez and Tapscott come as Davidson Homes rapidly expands across the Southeast, buying lots in both Nashville, Tennessee, and Raleigh, North Carolina, with plans to expand to other markets in the Southeast.
“As we continue to grow, we need a solid team in place to expertly guide our strategy and operations,” said Adam Davidson, president and CEO of Davidson Homes. “Greg and Lindsey both bring excellent experience to their respective roles. Our company has big goals, and we’re lucky to have these two on our team to help us achieve them.”
Duriez brings 29 years of experience in the new home industry to Davidson Homes. Most recently, he served as the Atlanta division president for Century Communities, a Colorado-based homebuilder. He has also worked for Pulte Homes, HVR Ryan Homes and KB Home. As Davidson Homes’ regional president, Duriez will oversee all ongoing operations in Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee and lead the charge for expansion into additional markets in the Southeast.
Tapscott joins Davidson Homes from Fatback Pig Project, a project to help re-employ Alabama farmers. She brings 10 years of sales and marketing experience to her role, having developed sales and marketing strategies for such organizations as Capstone Bank (now SmartBank), Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q/Taziki’s Café and Apple Lane Farms. Tapscott will develop, manage and execute the company’s marketing strategies and lead the new community launch process as director of marketing.
Davidson Homes’ Alabama office is located on James Record Road near the Huntsville International Airport. For more information on the southeastern homebuilder, visit davidsonhomesllc.com.
