Professional Golf Tournament Looking For Helpful Volunteers
HUNTSVILLE- Registration is now underway for volunteers to assist in the inaugural Huntsville Championship a stop on the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour of professional golf scheduled for April 20-26, 2020 at The Ledges in Huntsville.
A variety of volunteers upwards to 500 in number will be needed to help run the professional golf event. Volunteers of all ages, experience and interests are encouraged to become a part of the pro tourney.
“We invite volunteers from far and wide to help us pull off what we see as a can’t-miss event in the Huntsville community,” said Penn Garvich, Tournament Director. “We are enthusiastic the support from the area will transition into dedicated volunteers who want to make the tournament experience unique and memorable.”
The Huntsville Championship has a five-year partnership in place through 2024.
Registration for volunteers requires an $80 registration fee that provides each volunteer a golf polo, hat, jacket, weekly tournament credential, complimentary food and beverage and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party. Those who register must complete two or more shifts during the tournament and will receive a complimentary round of golf at The Ledges considered the top location of golf in the immediate Huntsville-metro area.
The Ledges opened in 2000 and earned the designer, Mike Hurdzan, the “Designer of the Year” award by Golf Magazine in 2003 for his work on the course located in southeast Huntsville.
