Madison Police nabs suspect wanted in several countries

MADISON – Madison Police scored a big arrest Thursday when they nabbed a suspect in a world-wide burglary investigation.

Last Wednesday, Madison Police responded to Asbury Church on Hughes Road in Madison due to a reported disturbance. Once on the scene, it was apparent the subject of their call was a suspect wanted for a string of Christmas Eve burglaries and other assorted mischievous crimes in various countries around the globe.

The suspect, which is described as a male, six-feet tall, thin built, wearing a red jacket, was indeed the notorious Mr. Grinch. He has also been wanted for disorderly conduct, general mayhem, chaos and attempting to put the damper on Christmas.

“The disorderly suspect was taken into custody without incident and peace and harmony was restored to all,” said MPD community relations officer Teresa Taylor-Duncan. “He was captured by the excellent police work of Officer Hill.”
