Gardener workshop to examine ‘Birds, Bats and Bees’

MADISON – Master Gardeners of North Alabama will sponsor a Lunch ‘n’ Learn Workshop for “Birds, Bats and Bees” on Feb. 18.

The workshop will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Dublin Park, 8324 Old Madison Pike in Madison.

Master Gardeners are collaborating with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System to present the Lunch ‘n’ Learn workshops in February and one week in March.

“Participants are free to bring lunch and delight in learning new facts about gardening. They can know that spring planting is just around the corner,” gardener spokesperson Nareatha Studdard said.

Daphne Moland, a Park Ranger with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at Wheeler Wildlife Refuge, will lead a study on “Birds, Bats & Bees” on Feb. 18.

The workshops are free, but seating is limited so register online at mginfo.org/workshops. Individuals without internet service can call 256-430-0555 or email workshopregistrar@mginfo.org.

Master Gardeners of North Alabama Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization supported and funded by membership dues, donations and fundraising efforts. The group is an active member of the Alabama Master Gardener Association and a fully qualified 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
