Madison Chamber Color Run just around the corner

MADISON – The weather was perfect this past weekend and hopefully it will just a grand for the first Madison Chamber of Commerce Color Run in a week and a half.

Color Runs have become hugely popular in the last few years. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color, having a lot fun along the way.

The Madison Chamber of Commerce will host their Color Run on Saturday, March 21, starting at 8 a.m.

The race will be a certified 5K starting and a one-mile fun run starting. The race will start at the Madison City Schools Stadium and continue through the streets of downtown Madison to finish back at the stadium.

Shannon Neblett, the interim executive director, at the Madison Chamber said this event is simply designed to be something fun for the whole community to enjoy.

“This will be an exciting event for the Madison Community,” Neblett said. “There will be a selection of Madison vendors as well as food vendors such as White Bison Coffee and Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard. Kids will enjoy taking pictures with ‘Ice Guy’ from Rita’s and ‘Truckee’ from Two Men and a Truck.”

Neblett also said it’s a great showcase Madison’s beautiful downtown and all it has to offer. “We are hoping for a great turnout,” she said. “It will be a lot of fun for the whole family.”
