Schools will stay closed, students will be taught online through end of school year
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed a supplemental State of Emergency today that will allow public schools to provide instruction from home starting April 6 for the remainder of the school year. “This decision has been made with a tremendous amount of concern and discussion,” Ivey said. “I cannot stress enough to you that we have got to be serious about eliminating the spread of this virus. The public health orders are not suggestions – they have been put in place to save your life.”
We will have more on this and how Madison City Schools plans to transition into online instruction later this evening.
