Trash Pandas and Madison City Schools team up for BJ – JC showdown

MADISON – This year’s Madison Bowl comes with an extra helping of pre-game hype.

The Trash Pandas is hosting “Rivalry Night” at its August 30 baseball game dedicated to the Bob Jones vs James Clemens football rivalry, which will be played Friday, September 2.

“Rivalry Night”  will be at hometown Toyota Field with special offerings to Bob Jones and James Clemens fans. The Trash Pandas game on Tuesday at Toyota Field includes an evening of baseball, football hype and good old family fun.  This is an event the whole city can enjoy while benefiting several causes. Every bag of popcorn sold will yield $1 donation to the Madison City Schools SOS (Supporting Our Students) Fund. Stadium vendors Donatos and Kona Ice will also donate proceeds from concession sales. There will also be a school supplies and hygiene drive for fans to drop off at the stadium.

SOS is donor-supported fund will provide help for MCS students who may struggle paying for a yearbook, class field trip, ACT prep assistance, tutoring, academic fee, cap and gown – any out-of-pocket expense related to a school function, class or extra-curricular.

Bob Jones and James Clemens cheerleaders will perform, as well as drum corps from each school.

The Trash Pandas organization issued this statement: “As a Madison City facility, we find it important to recognize and spotlight the students, educators and public service workers within the Madison City education system. Rivalry Night 2022 will be dedicated to the existing rivalry between Bob Jones and James Clemens as they prepare to face off in the Madison Bowl football game that following Friday. Purchase a ticket and show your school spirit at the Trash Pandas ballgame on August 30. Each ticket will include $2 of loaded value embedded in the barcode when bought through these links.”

Wednesday: James Clemens night at Culvers in Madison.

Thursday: ICE Night at Jeremiah’s off Hughes Road with featured BJ and JC Ice treats.
