POLICE: Two men arrested after injuring woman in burglary attempt

Madison Police said they made arrests on Monday in connection with a burglary. Two men are facing several charges, including kidnapping and attempted murder.
According to MPD Captain Lamar Anderson, officers with the police department responded to Mountain View Lane for a burglary call. On arrival, they learned that a resident of Madison had been harassed and assaulted by a professional acquaintance.
Anderson said the resident was injured during the incident and transported to a local hospital. She is expected to make a full recovery.
“Officers quickly identified and located the offenders, Steven Rodriguez and Tedric Bolden, both of Athens,” Anderson said.
Rodriquez was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st, and Kidnapping 2nd. He was placed in the Madison County Jail on $300,000 bond.
Bolden was also arrested and charged with Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st, and Kidnapping 2nd. He was placed in the Madison County Jail on $150,000 bond.
Anderson added no further information will be released at this time.
