MADISON – The evening will serve as a reprise to all the work that started in July at band camp and continued to November with hundreds of hours of music memorization, drill moves and complete dedication. “Sounds of the Stadium” will recapture those moments by the 2023 James Clemens High School Marching Band.

This year marks the twelfth anniversary of this unique night of music and movement. James Clemens Auditorium, 11306 County Line Road will be the venue for Sounds of the Stadium on Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

“Sounds of the Stadium is a highly energetic indoor extravaganza performed by the band, color guard, dance team and drum line – all under the direction of James Clemens Director of Bands Keith Anderson and Assistant Band Director Brian Sims,” according to James Clemens Band Boosters.

Section Leaders for the Jets are: flutes – Kelly Hwang, Dean Pham; clarinets – Sherry Yu, Canon Spidle; saxophones – Jack Weber, Shintaro Matsumoto; mellophones – Quinn Zalamea, Talise Milligan; trumpets – William Ryals, Owen Workman; trombones – Will King, Will Bagwell; baritones – Piper Roome; tubas – Cecily Burns; percussion – Evan Stonecypher, Eli Harvey, Austin Kane; Color Guard – Cadence Detommaso, Ella Jackson, Grace Greenfield, Kassidy Tidwell, Savannah Williams; and Dance Team – Leslie Ku, Hailey Tolman.

For 2023, James Clemens’ Drum Majors are senior Logan Thomas and juniors Logan Pollard and Sarah Choi.

James Clemens band will perform tunes that excited the crowd in the football stands this season, along with themed music from their “In and Of Itself” competition program for marching invitationals.

Along with the exciting ‘stadium’ selections by the musicians, the program will include formations by the Color Guard, stylized moves from the Dance Team and the hard-driving rhythms and percussion accessories of the James Clemens Drum Line.

“This is an exciting event that you will not want to miss. An enticing silent auction and sumptuous dessert reception will follow the concert,” according to boosters.

Guests can bid on merchandise and services that will serve as great gifts and home decor, among other types of deals. As an added treat for the night, an array of sweet treats of cakes, cookies and pieces will be waiting for the audience to enjoy.

All event proceeds will help James Clemens Band to fund its program with necessities like new instruments and equipment.
