Voters in HD10 to decide who fills unexpired term today
Polls open this morning in Madison at 7 a.m. for a special election. Voters in House District 10 will go to the polls to elect a new state representative in a special election to fill the unexpired term of now-former State Rep. David Cole.
House District 10 consists mostly of Madison, parts of Huntsville, and small parts of unincorporated areas around Madison. Madison City Councilman Teddy Powell, the GOP nominee, and Marilyn Lands, the Democrat nominee, will face off for the open seat.
Before the polls opened, Secretary of State Wes Allen relayed important reminders to voters as they prepare to vote in today’s election.

Election results will be posted on a door or other visible location at each polling place. Cumulative election results will be posted on the Alabama Secretary of State’s website at www.AlabamaVotes.gov.
