MADISON – The rain didn’t stop James Clemens (3-0) from besting Huntsville (3-1) this past Friday 32-7 at Madison City Stadium.

Jets running back MJ Gideon punished the Panthers with powerful carries in the contest to rack up 111 yards with a pair of house calls in the victory.
Gideon’s teammate Cam Berry was also a force with the ball in his hands with a 78-yard evening that included a score on a 30-yard romp.

Crossing the century mark is familiar territory for James Clemens’ Gideon as the back has also logged 100-plus yard performances in the two prior games against Gardendale (132) in the opener and rival Bob Jones (117).

JC’s success wasn’t all predicated off of the rushing attack though as the Jets signal caller Ja’Kobey Gill connected with receiver A.J. Little for a 15-yard TD.

Another touchdown in the game for James Clemens came when Myles Tayor took an interception 59 yard for six.

The only time that Huntsville was able to find the end zone was at the 4:05 mark of the fourth quarter when Cinco Dawkins scored a rushing touchdown from six yards to break up the shutout.

James Clemens next travels to Grissom (1-2) this Friday as the Jets look to remain unbeaten. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
