Fantasy Playhouse’s “A Christmas Carol” starts this weekend

HUNTSVILLE – This weekend marks the 30th year Fantasy Playhouse has offered “A Christmas Carol” as part of their season. Shows will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and continue through Sunday. The show will be performed next weekend too.

Fantasy Playhouse directors said this year the show is a new adaptation of the holiday classic. It takes over 100 volunteers working on stage and backstage to bring this tale to life. It is recommended for ages 6 and up.

Directed by Jeff White. Based on the book by Charles Dickens. Adapted for the stage by Barbara Field. Produced by special arrangement with Plays For Young Audiences and sponsored in part by the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the City Arts and Cultural grant program through Arts Huntsville.

Dates: December 6-8 and 13-15
Times: Friday nights at 7:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm and 5:00pm

Tickets: Tickets: $20 for Adults;  $15 for Children ages 3- 18. Children 2 and under are free if sitting on a lap. A lap seat ticket needs to be picked up at the Box Office just prior to show.
