Local instrumentalists earn chairs in All-State Band

MADISON COUNTY – Instrumental musicians in middle and high school auditioned for All-State Band on Jan. 30.

Required material at auditions included 12 major scales and arpeggios, chromatic scale and two prepared pieces. Judges also considered tone quality and sight-reading.

All-State Bands will convene on April 16-18 in Mobile Convention Center.

Middle School All-State Band:
