BJHS boys’ soccer team improves to 5-0

Michael McManus scored three goals March 7 to lead the Bob Jones boys’ soccer team to victory over Hazel Green, 8-1.

The Patriots improved to 5-0 on the season.

Also scoring for Bob Jones was Dilan Patel with a pair of goal and Jared Mitchell, Tyler Finley and Willie Artiga each with one goal.

Josh Snoddy finished with two assists, while Sam Knapp, Willie Artiga, Max Schmidt and Ryan Miller each had one.

The Patriots also defeated Decatur this week, 4-1.

Eric Dong, Jordan Cox, Matt VanScoy and Dilan Patel each scored for the

Patriots. Tyler Rist had an assist in the win.

The Patriots next play at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Grissom at the turf field behind Bob Jones High School.
