Pittman wrangles wrestling wins
Athlete of the Week
MADISON – Gabe Pittman, who is a freshman at Bob Jones High School, started making a name for himself in wrestling when he was in seventh grade at Discovery Middle School.
Pittman is a member of the varsity team with Bob Jones Wrestling. He wrestles in weight class of 152 pounds.
Wrestling always has been Pittman’s favorite sport. “It’s hard work but worth it,” he said.
“Winning my first medal wrestling for Bob Jones” is Pittman’s most memorable experience in sports. However, he was still in middle school as a Discovery seventh-grader when he achieved that medal win in a tournament at Huntsville High School.
Recently, Pittman made a good showing in competition at a meet with James Clemens High School. He also manages to maintain good grades in his academic studies.
Matt Sweatman works as wrestling coach at Bob Jones.
Gabe’s parents are Brandon and Gail Pittman. Brandon works as Director of Business Development for Teksouth Corporation. Gail is the office manager for The Family Practice of Madison. Gabe’s siblings are Aidan Pittman, a senior at Bob Jones, and Rowen, who is enrolled in pre-kindergarten at Madison Premiere.
