Senior Spotlight — Grace Elizabeth Williams

MADISON – Grace Elizabeth Williams is a graduating senior at James Clemens High School.

“Art and the Health Sciences are my favorite areas of study,” Williams said. “I have always been passionate about creating art and expanding my abilities in the different mediums. Art has always been a stress reliever for me, and I’ve enjoyed it for as long as I can remember.”

“Since freshman year, I knew I wanted to take part in the medical academy at James Clemens. The classes piqued my interest in the human body and the different avenues of healthcare,” Williams said.

This year during fall semester, she participated in the health sciences internship. “I shadowed numerous healthcare professionals ranging from nurses to surgeons. This opportunity confirmed my passions and showed me that I want to pursue a career in medicine,” Williams said.

“I have an unweighted GPA of 3.8 and a weighted of 4.2,” she said.

Williams was the founder and president of the Conservation Club. She served as Vice President of National Technical Honors Society and Health Occupation Student Association or HOSA. She also was a member of French Honor Society, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and James Clemens Student Ambassadors.

Grace’s parents are Dave and Jill Williams. Grace’s brother, Zach Williams, is 15 years old.

“I will be attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the fall and studying public health on a pre-med track,” Grace said.
