Yamaguchi played in World Series with Mad Sox

MADISON – Jace Yamaguchi is a ‘triple threat’ with his interest in soccer, baseball and football.

In fact, you could describe Jace as a ‘quadruple threat,’ because he plans to start playing basketball with a recreation league in Madison this winter.

“I play Madison AYSO soccer,” Jace said. “I play lots of positions in soccer. I am playing soccer right now, and our team name is ‘Fire.'”

Jace likes to play soccer more than any other sport because he “loves faking people out and scoring goals.”

On his Madison baseball team, Jace plays third base. In addition, he participates with Upward Sports on one of their flag football teams. “I have enjoyed playing the quarterback on my flag football team,” he said.

Jace is a third-grader at Heritage Elementary School. “I am in The Good News Club and STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Club. I go to church at Summit Crossing,” he said.

Jace’s older brother Jaxon Yamaguchi is a seventh-grader at Liberty Middle School. His older sister Jayda Yamaguchi is in fifth grade at Heritage. “Aaron Yamaguchi is my Dad, and he is a strength coach. Regina Yamaguchi is my mom. She is physical therapist at Huntsville City Schools.”

“Jace has always been on the ball field with two older siblings that both play sports,” Regina said. “We have loved getting to know the families as we play sports together and go to school together.”

“We moved (to Madison) on the first day of school this year,” Jace said. “We’ve always played ball in Madison. We moved to go to school with our friends.”
