For the Record

MADISON – James Clemens varsity football picked up another win as the regular season games wind down for the 2015 season with a 59-7 win over Huntsville High School.

“I kind of feel like we picked up where we left off last week,” said head coach Wade Waldrop. “I was a little worried because I didn’t think we had a really good Thursday practice, but obviously we looked focused.”

It was a well-rounded game with the team playing well together as a whole both on offense and on defense. Both the offense and the defense were able to put points up on the board with several interceptions and pick six plays added to the 290 total yards of offense by the team.

“It was very complete,” Waldrop said. “Hopefully we can continue to get better this week.”

The Jets play Hamilton Oct. 29 at home. The game will be televised statewide.
