MADISON – Instructors with Jeong’s Yong in Martial Arts are bringing 35-plus years of experience to the do jang (Korean for taekwondo school).

“We’ve become the fastest growing martial arts school in Madison,” spokesperson Robert Bardwell said. “We have professional instructors, a positive and encouraging atmosphere, a fun learning environment and a modern state-of-the-art facility in a convenient location at U.S. 72 and Wall Triana.”

“Madison is lucky to have a Korean Taekwondo Grand Master servicing the community,” Bardwell said.

The studio offers specialized classes for children, adults and families. “Children’s classes improve focus, self-confidence and respect. Adult classes teach self-defense, self-esteem and provide a great workout,” Grand Master and owner Sang Ok Jeong said.

Family classes offer a unique mix of benefits, allowing parents and children to share goals and train side-by-side. Sang Ok Jeong guarantees his martial arts classes will be a rewarding activity with benefits to last a lifetime.

He suggests trying their no-risk, Quick Start Program. “Choosing Jeong’s Yong in Martial Arts will be one of the best decisions you’ll make,” he said.

Sang Ok Jeong received a taekwondo degree from Yong-In University and a master’s degree in sports management. He holds a seventh-degree black belt in taekwondo and degreed belts in Yongmoodo (combination of taekwondo, judo and hapkido), kick boxing and judo. He is certified by the Kukkiwon, the official world headquarters for authentic taekwondo.

Also a Yong-In graduate, his wife Master Aekyung Lee holds a sixth-degree taekwondo black belt.

Their children also instruct classes. Their son Master Jewoong Jeong is a freshman at Bob Jones High School, and daughter Yarim Jeong attends Discovery Middle School. Both Jewoong and Yarim were gold medallists in the World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship in Korea.

Daughters Yudam Jeong and Yewon Jeong also assist with classes. The girls attend West Madison Elementary School.

The studio is open at 7985 U.S. 72 W. on Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
