Sullivan charged with domestic violence, discharging firearm

Madison police officers arrested Javonte Sullivan on two counts of domestic violence and for discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle. CONTRIBUTED
MADISON – Officers with Madison Police Department responded for reports of shots fired on Jan. 3 in the area of 4998 Wall Triana at Timberline Apartments.
Officers made contact with involved parties and learned that Jovante Sullivan had been in a physical altercation with his girlfriend. Sullivan’s girlfriend attempted to prevent him from driving, because Sullivan had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
At some point during the altercation, Sullivan shot his girlfriend’s vehicle. Madison police located Sullivan at the scene and recovered the firearm.
Madison police officers arrested 29-year-old Javonte Sullivan of Triana on the following charges:
* Domestic Violence in the Second Degree.
* Domestic Violence by Strangulation.
* Discharging Firearm into an Unoccupied Vehicle.
Sullivan was booked into the Madison County Jail with a total bond of $10,000.
