Last Chance Cross-Country 5K races set for Saturday

MADISON – James Clemens High School will host the second annual Last Chance Cross-Country 5K runs on Saturday at Palmer Park, 574 Palmer Road.

In 2012, numerous teachers, staff members and employees with Madison City Schools, their families and community residents enjoyed the challenge and fun of running or walking in this cross-country race. The course is mostly grass with a few pavement crossings and small hills.

The race schedule will open at 3 p.m. with an open community race for anyone not associated with a team. The 5K race for girls in high school and middle school will start at 4 p.m. Boys in middle and high school will run at 4:45 p.m.

Registration fee is $20, plus $1.25 processing fee.
