Beautification board issues awards for well-kept sites

MADISON – Colorful flowers, edged lawns and handsome trees add to the pleasant atmosphere of a city.

In Madison, a city-sponsored board of volunteers identifies businesses, medical offices and homes of all descriptions each year that deserve recognition for expanding Madison’s qualify of life.

“Every year, the Madison Beautification and Tree Board awards beautification signs, plaques and certificates to recognize the efforts of homeowner associations (HOAs), businesses and landscapers in their efforts to beautify the City of Madison through tree, perennial and annual plantings,” Brian Goodwin said. Goodwin is President of the beautification board.

From 81 properties that entered the review, 65 sites received Beautification Awards.

“These plantings help improve our city and make it a beautiful place to call home,” Goodwin said. “As the president of the Madison Beautification and Tree Board, I want to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of the properties and companies that participate each year and make Madison beautiful.”
