4 Madison seniors receive mayor, chamber scholarships

MADISON – Four Madison seniors will have some relief from college expenses with the presentation of the Mayor’s Scholarship Award and Madison Chamber of Commerce Scholarship.

The Mayor’s Scholarship Fund is financed by Lockheed Martin, which provides a $5,000 scholarship to one graduating senior from each high school. The recipient student will have plans to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or math or STEM fields. The scholarships are a part of Lockheed Martin’s commitment to STEM education excellence in the Madison vicinity, according to chamber sources.

Winners of the Mayor’s Scholarship Award are Jacob Webber from Bob Jones High School and Stephanie Goodloe from James Clemens High School.

The Madison Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Award provides a $1,000 scholarship to one graduating senior from each high school who plans to attend any college, university or trade school for further education.

Winners of the Madison Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Awards are Thomas Garza from Bob Jones and Jaycen Ervin from James Clemens.
