Madison Utilities repairing lines on Walton Road, Drive

MADISON – Madison Utilities has begun a major rehabilitation project to repair some of the city’s underground sanitary sewer lines.

The sanitary sewer lines in Walton Drive and Walton Road were installed in the 1970s. Some of these underground lines have decayed over time. These repairs hopefully will prevent a more serious failure in the future.

This project will directly affect anyone who lives or travels on Walton Drive or Walton Road. The roadways will be closed to through traffic when workers are present for work.

Work started during the week of June 26. The project will require an estimated 45 days, weather permitting. Crews will not work on July 3-4.
