Recycling program moves to Wednesdays
The Solid Waste Disposal Authority has announced many more paper products will be accepted in curbside recycling bins beginning Wednesday for Madison residents.
Routing changes were made to ensure greater operational effectiveness in picking up bins on routes, with service moving to Wednesdays in Madison.
Both changes are effective Feb. 21.
The curbside recycling program will now include fiberboard (cereal, pasta boxes), all magazines and fliers, cardboard (be sure it fits in the bin), loose paper, stationary, paperback books, copy paper, paper bags (not plastic) and junk mail, in addition to the existing newspapers with all inserts and glossy magazines.
In order to improve service and to accommodate the growth over the past decade, routing changes have been made resulting in service day changes for some residents, most notably all of City of Madison residents.
