Enjoy Spring Break stay-in-town fun at Hogan Family YMCA’s camp

MADISON – Youngsters can stay active and have fun with their peers in the spring holiday camp at Hogan Family YMCA in Madison.

The 2022 Spring Break Camp runs March 14-18.

Hogan Family YMCA offers day-long and week-long camps on most days off for holidays and breaks. The dates correspond to time that school systems recognize in communities with participating YMCA branches.

YMCA employees supervise the age-appropriate activities. The schedule includes indoor swimming, field trips, sports, games, free play, arts and crafts, movies and other sessions. Camp hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Children can make out-of-school time more fun at the YMCA. More importantly, parents do not need to worry about what their child will be doing. “They can have a blast with their peers while being supervised by our exceptional staff,” publicist Jennifer Dykes said.

Children in grades K-6 can attend these camps.

Fee for a single day at holiday camp is $30 for YMCA members or $40 for community members. For three days, fee is $95 for members or $120 for community members; the family can choose which days. For five days, fee is $135 for members or $185 for community members.

For more information, call Lamont Singleton at 256-924-0522 or email lamont.singleton@ymcahuntsville.org.

In upcoming weeks, Hogan Family YMCA will schedule Summer Day Camp. “Day Camp is the best place for your kids to enjoy their best summer ever,” Dykes said.

Children who will enter grades K-6 in the fall can enjoy active days chock-full of swimming outdoors and indoors, games, sports, arts and crafts, field trips and making friends. Day camps are held on Monday through Friday. The camp is not available on Memorial Day and Independence Day.

Parents/guardians must pay deposits at registration to guarantee a child’s camp reservations. Any camper registered for a Day Camp session but does not attend will be charged the full price for that week.

Additionally, fees must be paid in full in advance on the Friday before the session begins to ensure the child’s spot for that week.

Heart of the Valley YMCA’s address is 120 Holmes Ave., Suite 300 in Huntsville. Call 256-428-YMCA (9622).
