City of Madison announces holiday schedule for trash, garbage, recycling

MADISON — The City of Madison posted a civic alert Dec. 20 announcing that its schedule for garbage, recycling and trash will be modified for the upcoming holiday weeks.

The following reflects the adjusted schedule for Christmas and the New Year:

Christmas

For Trash, Monday, Dec. 24, will be on schedule. The rest of the week will be delayed one day.

Garbage and Recycling will be delayed one day. Recycling will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 27, and Garbage will be collected on Friday, Dec. 28.

New Year

Trash will be on schedule Monday, Dec. 31, but the rest of the week will be delayed one day.

Garbage and Recycling will also be delayed one day. Recycling will be collected on Thursday, Jan. 3, while Garbage will be collected on Friday, Jan. 4.
