MADISON – Students at Madison Elementary School had a special Jurassic visitor Monday. Olive, a 6-foot-tall baby Stegosaurus dropped by to say hello to the school’s fourth graders.

The animatronic and performer operated dinosaur is part of the Jurassic World Live Tour, which will come to the VBC next month.

In advance of the Jurassic World Live Tour’s arrival in the Rocket City, the show teamed up with Madison Elementary School to host the special visit. It featured a Jurassic World-themed STEM activity and surprise meet and greet with Olive.

At Madison Elementary, students got to watch and participate in an activity about volcanoes led by Olive’s own personal paleoveterinarian, who also told the baby stegosaurus’ story.

Olive is one of 21 life-sized dinosaurs in Jurassic World Live Tour, which is coming to the Von Braun Center for seven performances, December 12-15.

The event culminated with an opportunity for students to get their photos taken with their special visitor.
