HFC joins growing list of sports suspending activities
Recreation sports in Madison have suspended their season until March 29, but also has club soccer. The Huntsville Futbol Club, which includes Madison players and teams based in Madison, announced they will suspend their season as well.
“Based on the COVID-19 developments over the past 24-hours and today’s announcement from the Alabama Soccer Association (ASA), Huntsville FC and North Alabama SC are suspending all scheduled soccer activities effective immediately,” read a statement from the soccer club.
This includes all practices, games, clinics, and all other Huntsville FC and North Alabama SC soccer activities and applies to all Jr. Academy, Recreational, and Competitive/State League teams and programs. “We will provide updates regarding game reschedules as information becomes available.”
Club officials said their goal is to resume all soccer activities on Monday, March 30.
