Knights of Columbus to sponsor blood drive

MADISON – The Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2420, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison will sponsor its regular, bi-monthly American Red Cross blood drive on Oct. 21.

Drive hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Red Cross Bloodmobile outside the church basement. For an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org, type zip code “35758,” select the St. John drive and select the time that you want.

“The need for blood in Alabama and the nation is constant and especially so in the wakes of the hurricanes and Las Vegas massacre,” John W. Horch said. Horch is coordinator of the Knights of Columbus blood drive.

“Your participation is greatly appreciated by the Red Cross and St. John’s Knights of Columbus, but most of all by those who need blood because of accident or illness,” Horch said. “Please take a few minutes out of your busy schedule and give the gift of life.”

St. John’s address is 1055 Hughes Road in Madison. For more information, call the church office at 256-722-0130 or John Horch at 256-772-3280, email parishoffice@stjohnbchurch.org or visit stjohnbchurch.org.
