Dwight Hargraves; April 8, 2011

Dwight Hargraves, 64, of Madison, passed away early Friday morning, April 8.

Mr. Hargraves was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. He loved teaching the Bible and taught a weekly Bible study class at Morningside Assisted Living Center.

He had a great sense of humor and kept it throughout his long battle with different health issues. He loved his dogs and Alabama football.

Mr. Hargraves was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Hargraves and his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Georgia Whitt.

Survivors include the love of his life, Linda Poulter Hargraves; several cousins and a host of friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Faith Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Carlos Knox officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison County Humane Society or the Alabama Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 12505, Birmingham, AL 35202.
