Marie Gord Osborne December 22, 1927 – November 8, 2015

Marie Gord Osborne, a lifelong Madison County resident passed away Sunday, November 8, at 87 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by her parents Laura Catherine Marlin and Carl Guy Gord; brothers Vernon, Woodrow and Ernie Gord; sister Hilda Dickey Terry, and her beloved husband of sixty-six years John Wilson Osborne.

Mrs. Osborne’s surviving family includes daughters Connie Doran (Paul) and Susan Edwards (Craig); granddaughters Ashley Doran Cordell, Melissa Rawlings (Richmond) and Diana Maxey; grandson Keith Edwards (Jennifer) and six great grandchildren Laura and Kelley Cordell; Sabrina, Christina and Gavin Edwards, and Hudson Rawlings. Numerous greatly loved nieces and nephews also survive Mrs. Osborne.

Visitation with the family was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 12 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home at 2320 Bob Wallace Avenue in Huntsville. The service followed at 11, led by Reverend Michael Sepulveda of First Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers included Paul Doran, Craig Edwards, Keith Edwards, Richmond Rawlings, Bill Gord, and Paul White.
