Trash Pandas unveil uniforms for 2020 season
HUNTSVILLE – The clouds parted for a clear sunny afternoon for the unveiling of the Rocket City Trash Pandas uniforms as part of The Big Reveal held Thursday at Huntsville’s Big Spring Park.
The highly anticipated event featured the unveiling of the five uniforms the baseball team will wear when the team takes to the field in 2020. Local personalities, including those from local TV stations, modeled full official uniforms, including jerseys, pants, socks, belts and caps. Each model wore a robe and unveiled their uniform among produced smoke and fireworks while heavy-beat music pounded with the cheering crowd.
In addition, numerous local female celebrities showcased Trash Pandas replica jerseys that are available from the Trash Pandas Emporium in the Bridge Street Town Centre.
Top-notch WZYP morning personality Mojo was the host for the festivities just outside the Huntsville Museum of Art. The program featured a video tour of the new stadium currently under construction at Town Madison, food trucks, bouncy houses, T-shirt giveaways and music. Fans came in droves to witness the unveiling.
Ralph Nelson, Trash Pandas managing partner and CEO, hinted at one of the best programs coming up for Trash Pandas fans will be the Authentic Jersey Experience. Fans can purchase Rawlings jerseys cut from the same fabric as team uniforms, have their names put on the back just like the players and continue with more of the great fans experience.
“These are not team replicas like we sell as these are the same jerseys as the players,” said Nelson. “Just prior to the start of the 2020 season those limited number of fans who bought the experience will have their name on a player locker where they will find their jersey hanging inside the locker located in the team locker room. Once wearing their jersey, they will head out to the field where they will go through batting practice and shag fly balls and then have post-event food in the locker room.”
The experience is a unique way to obtain a real players’ jersey and is open to both male and females ages 13 and older. Jersey purchase must be made prior to the end of 2019 and will be $199 through the end of June and then $249 until Dec. 31.
The Authentic Jersey Experience will include a jersey that will be custom cut for each fan’s size and allow each fan to have a number of their choice. Once on the field of Tifway 419 grass, the once-in-a-lifetime experience of hitting and catching on the same playing surface as the players will easily bring to life the real charm of the sport of baseball.
“We are community involved and this has been a great community to be a part of and we want our fans to live the game,” said Nelson.
