MADISON – Outback Steakhouse opened its newest restaurant in Madison, located at 100 Stadium Way, last week. As part of Outback’s ongoing community partnership program, $5,000 of proceeds from opening day sales will benefit Operation Homefront.

Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive — not simply struggle to get by — in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. They provide programs that help military families overcome the short-term bumps in the road so they don’t become long-term chronic problems.

“We are looking forward to joining the Madison community and welcoming new members to the Outback family with the opening of our newest restaurant,” says Tyjuana Watson-Lewis, proprietor of the Madison restaurant. “We are excited to give back to our community by partnering with Operation Homefront.”

Watson-Lewis said the move to the Madison market was fueled by developments and growth within the area. The newest restaurant adds to the growth with 110 staff positions.

Accvording to press release from Outback, the new restaurant is 4,716 square feet and features a spacious dining room and a large bar area accommodating approximately 207 guests. The restaurant showcases a modern Australian design with décor mirroring Outback’s “down under” roots.
