MADISON- Get a good night sleep for a good cause. That’s the message the entire James Clemens football program is expressing as the team is hosting its 10^th annual Mattress Sale on Sunday, May 1 from11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the high school. The fundraising event is held with money earmarked for renovations needed for the program’s locker room.

“Last year we raised over $7-thousand for our program, which was the highest amount in the history of the fundraising event,” said Chad McGehee head coach of James Clemens. “Our players work hard for this fundraiser as the results help their program in different ways.”

The Charlie Company handles all the inventory, actual sale of merchandise and the expertise on bedding for the customers. McGehee added, “Charlie offers satisfaction guaranteed and will take care of issues which may arise.”

Top brands will be available and includes Simmons, Beauty Rest and Therapedic. Over 25 mattress sets and adjustable beds will be on display with prices ranging from $249 to $3,999. All sets are deeply discounted at 30-40-percent below retail. Pillow sets and adjustable beds will also be available during the community event. McGehee added, “financing will be available.”

“Our players will be on hand to assist in any way possible and our team has been out in the community handing out flyers,” added McGehee. “We assigned different teams and each are gaining points for a contest within our kids.”

None of the bedding will need to be picked up on site as the SFS Company will have all mattress delivered.

In the first nine years of the event, over $50-thousand has been raised and this year’s goal is to raise $10-thousand.
