MADISON – A big congratulations to James Clemens High School for being named a CLAS Banner school and a School of Distinction. Also, Bob Jones High School for being named a CLAS Banner School.
The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools this week recognized 30 schools across the eight Alabama Board of Education Districts and the CLAS Banner school in each of those districts.
The CLAS Banner School program was created in 2001 to recognize schools in Alabama that showcase outstanding programs and service to students. These winners were selected from among 166 school programs nominated statewide.
James Clemens earned CLAS Banner for its Student Leadership program under the direction of Ms. Melanie Turner. Bob Jones showcased its Construction Academy and how its students impact the school culture through different projects.
