Huntsville Museum of Art to offer free museum admission on May 29

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Museum of Art (HMA) will offer free admission to all guests on Sunday, May 29, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Betsy and Peter Lowe Community Free Day over the long Memorial Day weekend will kickstart the summer season for the Huntsville community.

The free day is in honor of Betsy and Peter Lowe for their invaluable support of HMA. It provides a great opportunity for guests and their families to view the wide range of exhibitions currently on display, from historical photography in Dorothea Lange’s America to classic European art in Beauty, Passion and Bliss: 19th Century Masterworks from the Dahesh Museum of Art and mixed media sculptures in Encounters: Aimee Perez.

“If you haven’t had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Museum, then Sunday, May 29 is a must,” said HMA Executive Director Christopher Madkour. “The Museum is Big Spring Park’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’ featuring world-renowned exhibitions right here in Huntsville.”

Museum docents will be available throughout the galleries to answer questions and chat with guests about the artwork on display. More information about the Museum and the current exhibitions can be found at hsvmuseum.org
