HUNTSVILLE – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men’s track & field team entered the USTFCCCA National Rankings at No. 24 ahead of the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.

The Chargers are led by three qualifiers for Indoor Nationals, including Michael Gizzi in both 60 meters and 200 meters, Jeremiah McCain in 400 meters and Wilson McClain in 60-meter hurdles.

Michael Gizzi is among the top 20 in the nation in two events following the indoor regular season, as he’s sixth in the 60-meter dash with a seeded time of 6.69 in addition to rating 16th in the 200-meter dash at a time of 21.14.

Jeremiah McCain will compete at Indoor Nationals for the third year in a row and first as a Charger, as he previously earned All-American honors at Lee in 2021 and 2022. McCain is seeded with a season-best time of 47.49, which ranks 12th nationally.

Wilson McClain looks to capture his fourth indoor All-American honor in 60-meter hurdles as he boasts the fourth-fastest time in the nation at 7.82 in the event.
